What Is Museum Lab?
Message from Henri Loyrette, President and Director of the Musée du Louvre
An experimental laboratory
Henri Loyrette,
President and Director of
the Musée du Louvre

Dai Nippon Printing has for several years been a privileged partner of the Musée du Louvre where, among our more than 7.5 million annual visitors, we have the pleasure of welcoming a growing number of Japanese guests every year.
The Museum Lab project is the result of close cooperation between teams at the Louvre and at DNP. The project applies cutting-edge technology to the (re)discovery of prestigious works in the Louvre collection.

This experimental and ground-breaking project is a core element in the reflections of the Louvre on how to foster artistic appreciation, in particular by giving the public an opportunity to see works in a new light and offering personalized information to numerous visitors of all kinds.

Thanks to the expertise possessed by DNP, the DNP building in Gotanda is designed as an experimental laboratory where the public can experience how we use modern technology in the service of art.
